Tawang is a town in Arunachal Pradesh, situated at an elevation of 3,500 metres above sea level. Tawang is both historically and naturally endowed. The famous Monastery I'm Tawang is an important seat of Mahayana Buddhism and is the second largest monastery in Asia.
